Nikon
17-55mm
The Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 DX is currently my main walk around lens.

I replaced the 18-55mm kit lens with the 17-55 f2.8.

This lens is super sharp and quick to focus and is a considerable upgrade on the kit lens

Sigma
170-500mm
My Main zoom lens, this is used for almost all of my wildlife stuff you can find in the wildlife section.

Fantastic range, especially when used with a tele converter.
Can be a bit soft at 500mm. Usually I will back it off a bit but its nothing that cant be fixed in photoshop later.

Not great in low light situations but works perfectly in good light.

Can be used hand held but gets very heavy, especially when its teamed up with the D300 + Grip.

Nikon
50mm
This lens is my go to for portraiture or low light situations.

It is super sharp! With a high aperture of f1.8. It handles low light extremely well with super fast auto focus too!

The Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18 - 55mm f/3.5 - 5.6G ED is no longer my main walk around lens now that I have replaced it with its bigger brother the 17-55mm f2.8.

It is the kit lens that came with my D50 camera. Its an okay lens for small stuff. Its not fantastic in low light nor is the focusing speedy.

Now that I have upgraded this lens with the 17-55mm it will more than likely not see much use from now on.

The Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED

Another lens that came with my D50 kit. This lens dosen't get much use and rarely comes out of the bag. It only gets used if I need a range between 55mm and 170mm if my telephoto lens is too long to be used.
